newsletter #07 [About the jewelry label Jona]

Hello, this is Takashiba from YEANAY.
This time, we have a work by Yasushi Tsunena, an artist supported by YEANAY.
A story about the jewelry label Jona.
/////
Jona is a contemporary jewelry label created by Yasushi Tsunena.
It has a slightly rough appearance, like metal that has been buried in the desert for a long time.
It features a dynamic texture created by irregular bumps and grooves.
It goes well with YEANAY clothes,
All of the pieces can be worn without any borders.
It is basically made of silver and comes in three colors: black, white, and gold.
The works are colored in a unique way.
One of its features is that you can enjoy the changes that occur over time.
On the left is the one I wore almost every day for about a year.
The work on display is on the right.
They're both originally white, but they have a completely different feel.
The surface color gradually fades, revealing the silver base.
The expression "growing denim" is often heard,
The way that something that had a matte texture becomes sparkling and shining
It really makes you feel like you are completing a piece of work with your own hands.
Not only can you enjoy your own unique look, but we also offer repair services.
It is possible to return it to its original matte finish or change it to a different color.

The motifs of your work are often things found in nature, such as plants.
From the sounds of words, phenomena, actions and objects in our daily lives
Some of them expand the image.
When you look at things that you normally see without thinking about them, you see them through Tsunena's filter.
I am always amazed at how beautiful and unique it can be.
So, what do you think this ring that arrived recently was based on?

In fact, the mold is taken from the plastic tag pins that are often attached to new socks to hold them together.
It's called Tag ring.
The fact that the name is so straightforward is also part of its charm.
Because of this uniqueness, it might be fun to look at the works and wonder, "What is the origin of this?"
