About antiques

In recent years, we have been selling antiques at all YEANAY stores.

Previously, we carried a wide range of contemporary jewelry and products from both Japan and abroad, including the Netherlands and the UK.

They still sell those kinds of products, but I think what you're seeing on Ienai's shelves these days are antiques.

Surprisingly, people don't often ask me why I buy antiques.

I think this is an issue that is of concern, so I would like to write a bit about it here.

Although we loosely refer to them as antiques, we do not simply deal in old things.

It's not because we like old things or think that old things are good that we deal with them.

Although we call them antiques, we actually also sell new and used items and items that are not old.

Using antiques as a subject, I reinterpret the meaning of objects and their functions, delve deeply into objects, or simply enjoy the shapes.

We find creative meaning and value in working to broaden our horizons and expand our values.

We have had the opportunity to come into contact with a variety of values through various stores, which has broadened our horizons and given us the opportunity to learn a lot.

If possible, we would like people to have that kind of experience in our store.

We want to express things that can't be expressed through clothes alone, and make our store more than just a store.

We keep these things in mind as we display antiques in our store.

I've written a lot, but I simply hope that our customers will enjoy the antiques, our store, and their shopping.

Starting in the fall of 2023, the antique items displayed in each store will have a theme.

Antiques are categorized and exhibited according to theme.

Themes sometimes rotate between two stores in Tokyo and two in Kansai.

We plan to add more antiques during the period and have a variety of other ideas.
